1-2 year old male Cross-Breed available for adoption

Maxos is a 1-2 year old male Cross-Breed. This cheeky little smile belongs to Maxos. He was found running scared on the motorway in Cyprus narrowly avoiding being hit. Thankfully for him an animal rescuer was in the right place at the right time and was able to stop and coax him off the road.

He was so lucky. Rescuing dogs from the motorway is often an impossible task and so many end in fatalities. We don’t know where Maxos came from, but he was underweight, dirty and terrified when he was first rescued. Now he’s settled into the shelter we have seen his personality come out and he is just wonderful.

He’s a gentle, sweet tempered boy with a calm and friendly nature, and he absolutely loves being with people. Maxos hasn’t quite mastered how to walk on the lead yet and this will need a bit more work as he’s not familiar with the feeling of it. He is very keen to please so with some time and patience we think he will get the hang of it, as well as learning some basic commands.

He is proving to be no trouble at the shelter and really is a joy to have around. Everyone loves him, and he loves everyone. Maxos is the type of dog that we think could slot into pretty much any home. He would like the company of people during the day so wouldn’t enjoy being left alone for hours, and because he’s not sure about the lead yet we think he would prefer a home with a small garden just to let off a bit of steam and get to grips with housetraining without the faff of having to be on the lead each time he goes outdoors.

He hasn’t had much exposure to young children but we think he could live with kids based on his temperament, and he has no issues with other dogs either. Maxos would prefer a home outside of the city where it’s not too overwhelmingly busy for him.

He is friendly with everyone and when he gets reassurance from people that everything is okay, he comes to trust them very quickly. He is a very loving and loyal dog, and we have no doubt he’s going to be a fantastic companion for someone. Maxos is currently based in Cyprus and has a clean bill of health. He is ready to travel once he finds his forever home.
