Hi everyone! My name is Mario and I am an approximately 1 year old male Collie. I came to SEDR as an unclaimed stray (presumed dumped). I have been neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. After being assessed in kennels, I moved into a foster home in Tonbridge Wells with a medium sized male dog and 2 Terriers. I have settled well into foster – happy to sleep in my bed in my foster parents bedroom and am house-trained (I even ask to be let out as needed!).
I also travel well in the car, and am a perfect patient at the vets! When I arrived at SEDR, I had no idea how to walk on a lead but am making great progress and enjoying walks with my furry companions! I am still a little unsure of the outside world, so need an experienced and patient home who can help me in new and daunting situations.
I absolutely adore people and love to say hello to everyone I meet! When people come to the house, I am happy to greet them and take treats and welcome them into the home. I am very sociable out and about with new dogs and will happily say hello to new canine friends! I am an extremely clever boy who would thrive in an environment where my I am mentally stimulated with training and or things like agility / flyball. I have lots of energy and learn new things very quickly!
I am not destructive in the home per se – but have nibbled on the odd sock left lying around and my blanket. I am a very cuddly and loving boy who will make the most amazing companion in the right home.
I could live with dog savvy children aged 8 and over, and no cats or small furries! I will need a home with a resident dog of a similar size who is playful and confident as a good friend and role model! I will need a home where someone is at home for most of the day, a secure garden and lots of cuddles!
If you think you are the perfect match and can offer me a place in your heart and your home – please fill in the pre-adoption form.
