Marley and Amy – 8-10 year old female Spaniel Cross and Yorkshire Terrier available for adoption

Marley and Amy are 8-10 year old female Spaniel Cross and Yorkshire Terrier. They need a new home urgently as sadly their owner has passed away and no one on the family can take them in. Marley is a 10 year old spaniel cross and Amy is 8-9 year old Yorkshire Terrier/cross. Neither are vaccinated, spayed/neutered but this will be done as part of them coming into our care.

Marley has cataracts which we will ask our vet to look at although currently they’re not impacting on his quality of life. They are a bonded pair and need a home together. They live happily with a cat and can be rehomed with cats. They haven’t been around children much so would prefer a home without young children.

Marley loves other dogs but Amy can be grumpy with them so they need a home without other dogs. They both walk well on their leads (Marley is good offlead too) and fine to be left for reasonable periods of time.

Amy is the boss and tells Marley off when he hogs the attention as both love people. If you can mend their poor broken hearts at their dad sadly dying please get in touch. Foster homes need to be within an hour of Rotherham to attend our vets and for meets. Forever homes can be anywhere within the UK but you will need to travel to us in South Yorkshire.

As always we require everyone in the family and any children who are regularly going to be in contact with the dog to attend the meet. Our usual process is that you will need to come and meet the dog and that adoption is then done on a second meet.

For further details regarding adopting a dog from JLP Trust Animal Rescue in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, please email or telephone 07766 766252, 07950 404074 or 07727 307337.

JLP Trust Animal Rescue is a foster based rescue in South Yorkshire (Rotherham and the surrounding areas) and we offer help to animals who need us to find them a new home for whatever the reason.

Sadly many animals, especially in the South Yorkshire area, find themselves needing a new home, abandoned or neglected through no fault of their own. We try to help as many of these as possible through providing help with rehoming, foster homes and help to owners wherever possible to ensure that the animals remain safe, looked after and loved until a new forever home can be found.

For every animal we help we provide homechecks, vaccination, neutering and microchipping and lifetime back up if anything should go wrong in their new home.
